why is firefox debugger opening automatically

About 1.5 - 2 weeks ago, whenever you open Firefox, as soon as you start typing in a URL, the debugger opens. How do I stop this? Why did it start?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Already in default mode. The second I start typing in the URL space, the debugger opens.

Additional info.: This only happens when you boot the PC, then start Firefox for the first time. I have it set to delete cookies, etc., on closing. After I close, then re-open Firefox, the problem does NOT occur. But if I reboot, it happens again the first time I open Firefox and start typing a URL. I have other computers where this is not happening. There must be a setting for this somewhere...
