How do i get DownloadHelper to work now it has stopped

DownloadHelper has stopped working even though it is enabled. I tried reinstalling it but that did not help. Have you any suggestions as to what has changed and how I can get it working again ?

I have the latest version of Firefox

I looked here before posting the question but could not find anything to help. Still trying to find a solution but thanks for the link
