Emails not being displayed but still on hard drive
I had a problem after the most recent update where I couldn't sign into my pop3 email account. I kept getting a security exception message about the certificate. Despite confirming the security exception, it wasn't stored and emails weren't downloaded.
I ended up creating a new account in Thunderbird with the same email address. After I did this I had no problems or error messages.
However, I had numerous messages saved in the first version of the account and they now can't be read in TB. They still are on my hard drive but I don't know how to get them back into TB so I can read them.
Any help would be appreciated.

If the files are on your hard drive, outside the profile, you can move them back in. Files are generally of two components (e.g, INBOX, INBOX.msf). Suggested steps: - exit Thunderbird - in Window File Explorer, copy them to the Local Folders section of your profile, being careful to not overlay any files of same name - restart Thunderbird and they should appear.

Thanks so much David. I now have my files back in TB:)
