is there anyway to move things from the more tools section of the three lines/application menu to the tool bar, or to quickly access the more tools section. i use the eye dropper all the time and it feels like there's a faster way to do it i cant seem to find.

As you can see here, despite me setting custom colors and checking every setting i could find, i can't seem to find what will turn this white color to grey or black,

does anyone know how to fix this?

I really like Firefox, and have been using it for many years. I even used Netscape navigator back in the bad old days! But there are two things that really annoy me:

- I can't seem to be able to place bookmarks into folders on the desktop (like I can with Vivaldi). For example: I visit a lot of news sites, so I'd like to have a folder called "News", and put them all it there instead of having my news site bookmarks all over the desktop. I just find it a cleaner way to organise my desktop.

- I can't seem to customize my search, apart from selecting between the default search engines. I'd like to be able to search "google.co.za" instead of "google.com", but there doesn't seem to be a way of changing that (again, like I can with Vivaldi).

If I could sort these issues out, Firefox would be my main browser, and I'd scrap Vivaldi as I find that it's getting too "heavy". (Of course, maybe these features contribute to that!)

Basically, I copied this from an old post that I didn't understand the solution when I move my mouse to the top of the screen in fullscreen, the adressbar and tabs come up, I hate that how do I fix it

I am trying to download the original version of an image, not the re-compressed webp version (Yes, I know some websites only have a webp format image, but I am specifically talking about sites where I can flat out see .jpg or .png in the URL but it's forcing a recompressed webp version on me instead, reddit itself is one of those sites that does this, I cam flat out see the url ending in .jpg or .png, and then a lot of other gibberish after which if I make any changes to breaks the image, and if I leave as-is forces a webp version. Wikia sites are another that do this.). A lot of what I Google on how to do this is not relevant anymore, telling me to modify a setting that no longer exists, add a variable to the URL that no longer works, or install a plugin that does not seem to work anymore and might be a security risk.

The one thing that seems to work is going to the image.http.accept setting and putting in "*/*". Problem is, I have no idea what exactly this is doing, and it looks like to me that I am somehow telling it just allow everything, which worries me if it can be a security risk or something. Can someone help me understand what exactly I am doing when I modify this setting like this and if it's a security risk to do so?

The removal of the download status bar at the bottom of the browser is a major UI failure and this feature needs to be returned.

I spent 30 minutes attempting to download/extract a settings file from an Addon until I noticed that Firefox was silently downloading it to my Downloads folder without any notification that it had started or completed.

The download bar was a known solution for this; The bar itself did not obscure the current webpage, provided immediate feedback on download initiation, progress, and completion. Provided quick access to open the file(s) or find options about the file(s), and the download bar could be dismissed quickly if the vertical page space was required/desired.

The hidden download tray is a horrible design idea, makes it difficult to see if your downloads have started successfully, when they have completed, and how to access them. Additionally, the introduction of 'hint' popups to support this feature actively obscure the webpage you're viewing, making them dramatically worse than the download bar, which left the page completely usable and only required a few pixels of height at the bottom.

This is a major design flaw.

I am an experienced Firefox Add-On user.

I have installed Firefox on a new build Windows (10) computer. Only 4 of my 8 installed Add-Ons will show on the Task Bar

This is not a problem on my two other Windows machines that share the same Mozilla account for Bookmarks & Passwords. (Other machines are also 4K displays).

I have uninstalled then reinstalled Firefox several times on the new machine, nothing seems to work.

I suspect there is a simple fix, but it eludes me.

Suggestions?

When I use the url calculator, the number will display as expected, e.g. if I type 900-756.07 Firefox displays 143.93 in the url. However, when I try to copy that number, the length of the numbers decimal places changes substantially, e.g. 143.93 turns in 143.92999999999995.

Is there a way to prevent it changing the result?

Themes do not stay locked since several updates back. It is ridiculous that every time you open the browser you need to go to settings and get 'dark theme' back on, when it is the only theme many of us with visual problems can use. MANY people have complained about this (read your own reviews). FIX IT! It's doubtless a five minute job to put this back the way it was.

Ever since I loaded 120.0.1 (64 bit) I have had problems accessing numerous sites. For example, https//HOn30.org. FIrst I get several "Having trouble ..." messages, and when it does come up it's a blank screen. I have had this happen wtih Library of Congree, eBay, and most sites from linking within another web site. I have tried playing with the "HTTPS mode" and the "DNS over HTTPS" to no avail. What changed with this version and how do I fix it. Win10 Sp1 64bit Dual Xeon E5 CPUs 128gb RAM nVidia Quadro K5200 w/8gb VRAM C: = 1tb CT1024 SSD (Crucial) D: = 2tb 7200 rpm WD E: = 5tb SSD (Samsung) F: = 1.5tb Seagate (can you tell I used to be tech support?) If you see on the attached image, on the far right side is a LastPass red logo (red box, 3 white dots). I have been using this setup for so long I have no idea how it got there. Can you direct me to where that might be in the settings?

I am trying to re-create the setting on another computer.

Hi; The gear symbols that were next to the extension in the Extension Panel, are no longer there. In the recent past, clicking on the gear symbol by the extension, enabled me to pin it to the tool bar. How do I get that function back? Thank you, Nick M. mr.nick@myyahoo.com

None of my installed Add-Ons will open. This occurred after running in "Refresh Mode" to correct a different problem.

The prior problem involved not opening bookmarks in a new tab even though the config:about entry was set correctly.

Is it possible there is a config:about entry that prevents any add-on from running?

hi...I'm new to Mozilla and i switched from Chrome when i watch videos on Youtube with Mozilla i can't pause the video by pressing space botton and as the screenshot i sent..whenever i press the space only a square appear around the pause icon and video does not pause...help me please

I use multi-account containers extensively. Unfortunately, my laptop recently broke so I had to pull out my desktop which was in storage. I hadn't used my desktop in a few years, so I had to update Firefox to make it work.

Then I discovered that the multi-account container feature no longer works. It says it isn't supported in this latest version.

Is there any good way to fix this?

The multi-account container feature was what finally let me switch to the safety and privacy of Firefox. Prior to that, I used Chrome, but the multi-account containers were even better since I didn't have to tie a different account to each container.

It looks like I could roll Firefox back to an earlier version, but that would require creating an entirely new firefox account. It took me a substantial amount of time to get this one set up the way I like. I understand that you all want to protect my data, but frankly I feel like I've been put between a rock and a hard place.

I recall turning off this garbage at some point. Now it's hardwired without a way to turn it off in Search settings!!

Is there anything I can do to turn it off?
