I want to re-order the add-ons / extensions in the toolbar shared with the search bar. Customize toolbar only has functions/icons related to the operation of Firefox. I want to customize the extensions toolbar, but how?

In the add-ons page, I can remove, disable, or enable extensions, but I cannot change the order of them.

As an example, there is an add-on for my Firefox account that is leftmost in the bar of extension icons. I would like to move it all the way to the right. Again, how would I do that?

Since firefox's latest update I am unable to access my online PNC banking account. PNC says that Firefox is no longer compatible with their online banking system. I'm using an IMAC computer. Does anyone know what's causing the problem or am I being forced to use a different browser ? My e-mail address is[email removed from public] Thank You

As of a few days ago whenever I start Firefox the window appears with the Bookmarks sidebar panel already opened. I click the "X" on the sidebar and it will close - until the next time I start Firefox. If I choose Menu->View->Sidebar->Bookmarks and uncheck it the panel will close - until the next time I start Firefox. No matter how the Bookmarks sidebar is closed, it will always reappear when Firefox is restarted. Even if I switch to some other sidebar, Bookmarks will replace it on startup.

I've searched about:config and found no setting which seems to control sidebar behavior on startup.

I assume this is the result of some recent update. Is there no longer a way to permanently disable the Bookmarks sidebar?

MacOS 12.7.5 Firefox 127.0 (64-bit)

Firefox has been crashing constantly for a few days now. Every time I start the program, it starts using more and more GB of RAM until it crashes at over 100 GB. I have already deleted and reinstalled the program and cannot explain why it is using so much memory. Can anyone help me?

Up through Monday, 10-16-2023, I could play Amazon Prime Videos. As of Tuesday, 10-17, I no longer can. I can do this on other browsers, e.g. Chrome and Safari. Can this be fixed or do I need to stop using Firefox?

I have been using Firefox for many years and I have never had problems, until now, out of nowhere Firefox closes and the little window opens that the report is being sent to Firefox, but I can no longer restart or open Firefox, until I reset the computer, This can happen one, two, three and even four times a day, making it very uncomfortable to reset the computer.

I have already tried many ways to solve the problem, from completely uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it, I use very few extensions, I already disabled WebGL and also disabled hardware acceleration, nothing has worked, when Firefox closes, I cannot open Firefox Developer either and That browser was not even open at the time of the failure with Firefox.

Thru Firefox, I use Tineye to find related photos - I use it all the time, it's been great - I always use a VPN and have never had problems until now (as of yesterday). Now it won't search, a verify you're human window comes up, and I have to keep clicking squares, which I do - but then it says to allow cookies and start over. Well I don't want to allow cookies (I assume it's one of the options I have thru Firefox to block cookies), and I can't find where to allow cookies even if I did (I went to Firefox preferences etc) and I don't want to disable my VPN. Maybe I should mention that I just added or started a Mozilla account, as I have had immense trouble with my aol emails, and am trying to move everything over to a gmail account. My sign in to Firefox was the aol email, and I had to (try, I thought I did it) add another account, which I think I did successfully. So it was right after that, that all this started. Help please! On my old iMac, Firefox remembered sites I had visited and filled them in, like if I typed A it would autofill Amazon. This is not happening on my new 2023 iMac and I can't figure out how to turn this on. Also, I could see my site visit history on my old iMac, but this field is blank, with no history of sites visited shown, on my new machine. Help is appreciated. I'm have a problem with the setting for label printing since the last update. I know it's firefox because I went on safari and it worked fine. I have tried to go to firefox print setting, it is marked correct, but it's printing label's 10 times the size. on labels and even on letter size paper. I've tried to restart firefox and my computer. I also checked my computer settings, but firefox is overriding any settings. So what is going on firefox????

There is this new pop up coming on latest firefox version 123 about opening favorite link on firefox, I want to get rid of it programmatically using java, which argument or preference should I use ?

Any way to try to restore or at least get a list of what my suddenly unrestorable tabs were? I mean, aside from looking through every single item in my entire history and then trying to figure out whether I had already finished that project or not?

I had many many tabs open, in many many windows, and I discovered long ago (this is not necessarily a good thing:) that if you have the internet on your device shut off while you start firefox up, and while you session restore, though all the urls and the tabs and the windows reappear, none of the are actually loaded, they are just sitting there, and you need to reload each page/tab before the computer seems to use any ram (if that's the word) to run the page. This unfortunately allows a distractable procrastinator like me to accumulate literally thousands of unfinished tabs, which I was of course going through one by one and closing, but I had tons and tons of them open still.

When session restore suddenly no longer is an option, (it is greyed out, and not for the first time,) are there any other options?

In my location, my only option for internet access is a mobile hotspot with limited data. Consequently, I am always mindful of my data usage when using my laptop. Despite primarily browsing static pages, email, and other low-data activities, I often find my data usage higher than anticipated. The main culprit comes to mind to be videos embedded in news articles. Sometimes, with multiple tabs open, I switch to an inactive tab only to find a video playing. Although I've configured my Firefox preferences not to autoplay videos, it seems that YouTube videos still override these settings.

So, my question is, when a tab is inactive, does Firefox stop all data transfer for that tab in the background? And if not, what are the solutions to stop any background data other than continually closing all tabs?

Also, any suggestions on this topic are appreciated, especially from and to users who also live in remote areas without fiber, DSL, etc.

Hello. I regularly read a scientific site that often uses Greek characters. Most of them are replaced by a square in FF as well as some mathematical symbols. The issue doesn't happen with Safari hence the said characters are not missing in the System. I uploaded one screenshot taken with Firefox and one with Safari. The page it's taken on is https://www.ca-se-passe-la-haut.fr/2023/01/mesure-du-taux-dune-reaction-cle-du.html. When the issue is too annoying I switch to Safari but my main browser has always been FF so it's bothering. Is there any remedy? TIA Best regards Nick

I’m trying to make aware people of the recent Google movements to close gate the internet to their services and I suggest to folks to move to Firefox.

One of my colleagues encounters a problem clearly visible on the image attached (it shows correctly on my mac).

It's not as bad on my mac, where I only have issues every now and then - I received an email this morning on my work email, and all the apostrophes were replaced with Registered symbol (R in a circle).

I noticed that not allowing websites to use their own fonts fixes the issue (unticking "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of your selections above") but I would like to be able to view sites the way the developers intented rather than forcing my browsers default fonts.

Any ideas?

Cannot login to https://www.roadrunnersports.com/ When I put my username & password in I receive back:

"Request failed, Please try again later."

It logs in fine in Chrome, Safari & Opera. Running mac o/s 10.15.7 & FF 100

Same issue as reported in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1389882 However, since that has been archived with no solution, starting a new post.

Any fix or workaround? Went back to using other browsers for a while, came back and can see it is still an issue where you can't view any password protected PDFs over on https://outlook.office.com/mail/
