I doubt such feature is in firefox os yet, it will likely come in a new version, everything firefox os is on the marketplace though.

This is not possible yet due to the hardware and specifications of the devices we currently have. We would love to see this in the future.

Sorry, what is the front-facing camera of the geeksphone Peak and Peak+ then for?

Kind regards

Hi Billy!

I'm not sure I understand you question. Could clarify please?

Thank you!

I think the initial question was whether Skype can be installed on a firefox OS device.

In your answer you said this is not possible due to hardware restrictions. This is the part of your answer which I don't understand given that the Geeksphone peak has a front-facing camera.

Cheers

Hi Billy!

Thanks for responding. I do apologize that I also left out due to software specifications and at the level Firefox OS is at, I don't think Skype would be able to run properly on the OS. There is a possibility the hardware may match up but the software may not.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks!

skype may be a longshot. But why can't mozilla enables webRTC on this and brand it a video chat app? This way, it can at least work with all other chrome/firefox browsers from other platforms.

There is no Skype for Firefox OS.
