Cannot remove GoPhotoIt 1.4 or Torrent Handler 1.1 from my Firefox Extensions list.

I have tried every thing possible to remove these two extensions. I tried running FF in Safe Mode which didn't work, I completely uninstalled FF however when I reinstalled it the two extensions appeared again.

Neither of them have 'Remove' buttons, only 'Enable' or 'Disable'. I have searched high and low on the Internet and while several other people have this issue, no one has provided a working solution.

These two extensions have obviously been installed by a third party but I do not know which one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

those files have to be there somewhere for the extensions to appear in firefox, maybe they are hidden or in a folder that isn't included in the default search settings (i don't know my way around in os x though).

hello, on your computer search for the files named gophoto@gophoto.it.xpi and TorrentHandler@TorrentHandler.com.xpi and delete them... those extensions are probably malicious, so i'd also suggest running a full scan of your system with security software (however i don't have a mac myself, so i can't recommend any programs in particular)...

check the suggestions in the following article:

Cannot remove an add-on (extension or theme)

... and let us know, if it helped.

Hi Phillip...strangely enough when I do a search for both of those files, nothing comes up!

@smo - have tried each and every step in that article already to no avail.

Hi Phillip - your advice to look in 'Hidden Files' has helped me locate these files!

Thanks a lot mate. Greatly appreciate it.

I have hidden files shown. I still can't find the torrent handler file anywhere and can't delete it from add ons
