I I am using Windows 8 Release Preview with FireFox 18. I have various toolbars (Verizon toolbar, Webroot toolbar, Add-on toolbar etc) I have check marks next to all of these but none of them are visible. The same is happening with various add-ons that i have installed and enabled . The most recent being auto fill. But i can't see any of these features. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

Is this a new install of Firefox, or a new problem where there was no problem before?

Type about:addons in the address bar and verify they are there and enabled, if you haven't already done that.

This may not help, but it can't hurt. Go to "Help>Restart with addons disabled". That will start Firefox in Safe Mode. Then close Firefox and restart it again. It will go back to normal mode.

You can completely reset Firefox, but I wouldn't do that unless nothing else works, as it will remove most of your customizations and add-ons.

Isn't the Win 8 release candidate about to expire?

Something else you could try, in case rendering is the culprit. Go to "Tools>Options>Advanced>General" and uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available" and "Use smooth Scrolling" I have had some very strange behavior in Firefox when hardware acceleration was enabled.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F).
If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear.
Click the Maximize button (top right corner of the Navigation Toolbar) to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and choose "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press the F11 key.
