The problem started when I noticed firefox wasn't confirming when i closed a window with multiple tabs. With a little experimentation, I noticed that it would confirm only when the window being closed wasn't the last window open (i.e. firefox terminating completely). Under about:config, I found "browser.warnOnQuit", which is set to false. The problem is it won't let me toggle it to true. It's likely one of my addons, because a fresh profile doesn't cause this issue, I was just hoping there might be an easy fix.

running firefox 17.0.1 on windows 7 64bit
