Firefox17.0.1 M/S XP SP3 Norton Internet Security 2012 - Since upgrading to latest version of F/Fox embeded pictures in text don't open in Yahoo emails.
This problem happened with a previous F/Fox update maybe 14 .... something, but I sorted it out. This time I can't.
The pictures are there in the email at either the top or bottom of the email to click on and open, but frequently they will even not open or download if I click on them from there.
I have access allowed on 'Options - Content and Load Images Automatically' I think that there must be something somewhere that's not ticked .... or else maybe something in Java if that is relative is not working as I seem to recall when d/loading the latest version of F/Fox somewhere in the process it said that some Java 'something' was not compatible.
If I revert to the creaky old IE8 it works fine on emails with embeded pics opening properly in the text of an email!!

Hi Rob,
Do you have Adblock Plus or something similar? Sometimes add ons like these can interfere with objects in some webpages. If you do have an add on like this try temporarily disabling it and see if that works.

Thanks Nick .. no I don't have Adblock or similar, and have been through my various add ons ... but still no satisfaction on this problem. I now go back to IE8 more often to see emails in Yahoo!! Sad but true!! Rob.

Have you tried temporarily disabling your antivirus (Norton) and viewing the emails? And are you running the latest update of your version of Norton? Sometimes Norton likes to interfere with things it is not supposed to.

If it's the latest version ......... I have it (and therein might be my downfall whilst others upgade to be compatible with each other!!) .... except I must do an upgrade to the latest 2013 NIS, something on the Christmas spare time list to do (no emoticons for that ..... shame!!).
AMAZINGLY .... today .... something .... somewhere said, 'you can now view the embedded pics in Yahoo'. I did not do a thing .... promise!! It just happened.
That's the wonder of computers and software!! Just chill and maybe it will all happen/sort itself. Having been doing 'this' stuff for a 'few' years (or more!!) now, nothing really fazes me anymore. Just work round it or live with it!!
