How to disable the ability to install any toolbars in Firefox
I have a lot trouble with toolbars, which are installed without my direct permission. I dont use any toolbars at all. We all know names of this incredibly "useful" toolbars: yahhoo, mail.ru. The list is huge. Ofcourse it is easy to uninstall toolbar itself, but it changes many internal settings of Firefox, such as default search engine etc.. So my question is - is it possible to disable the ability of toolbar installation. Especially, indirect installation outside Firefox (I dont understand, why developers even made it possible for third party applications to instal addons into Firefox so easily. It is a huge hole in security).

hello derdarm, since version 8 firefox will warn you & expressly ask for permission when an external program tries to insert an addon into firefox. http://www.ghacks.net/2011/08/04/firefox-to-get-better-third-party-add-on-security/
you can install the searchreset addon to easily get rid of changes by these toolbars (your system information shows that conduit is still set as homepage and keyword-search provider).
