Firefox cannot play the audio files at this site. http://international.emory.edu/karp_archive/in_memoriam/dc_memorial.html They play fine on Safari, Chrome, and Internet Explorer. How can we fix this? The developer for Cascade, which is the program the site is done it, says that a new version may resolve it, but the newest version out, v. 12, still does not work. Please advise if there are ways to make these files work in Firefox.

I'm hearing Johnnetta Cole as I type... running Windows 7 x64.

I see you have the Windows Media Player plugin (np-mswmp.dll) installed. Do the Windows Media Player controls display?

If not, can you check to make sure WMP is enabled?

orange Firefox button or classic Tools menu > Add-ons > Plugins

Next, if you open the about:plugins page (type or paste about:plugins in the url bar and press Enter), is Windows Media Player assigned to the following MIME type?

audio/x-ms-wma

If that is missing, you may need to launch Windows Media Player from the Start menu and work through its settings.

If the controls display but the audio does not play, that's a bit more mysterious. If you enter the full URL to the wma file in the urlbar, does the audio play in a tab? For example (delete the space_space to yield a valid URL):

http://international.emory.edu/ + karp_archive/audio/johnnetta_cole.wma
