Have tried all the different methods to clear cache, but none of them work.
I don't know what other information to supply. The above question sums the problem up fully. The cache simply will not clear/empty.

May I ask what it is you are trying to achieve by clearing the cache ?
- have you some problem that you think this helps with ?
- why do you want to do this ?

- going to 'about:cache' by keying that into the location bar
that will indicate what is in the various Firefox cache locations
(there may be better front ends for that have a look for add-ons if you need to inspect cache content)
Hi John, Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have followed the instructions under How to clear the cache, as well as those under Clear Recent History. Options - Advanced - Network - Offline Storage - Clear Now. In addition, my settings specify to clear cache upon closing Firefox. Nothing is working at this point (and hasn't for months, although it used to a long time ago). I don't know about this 'about:cache' thing. That just gets me to a general google search page. As far as your questions: I want to clear the cache to get rid of older links (and get fresh links) at the farmtowngifts.com site. So it's not a major problem, as I could simply quit using Firefox when I have exhausted all current links there, and use a different browser. I don't use Firefox for anything else anyway. Kristina
Did you try to clear the History as well?
If you want to clear the visited status of links then you need to clear the history.
Thanks, cor-el. Yes, I did. :( The only thing I haven't tried there is clearing ALL the items. But I don't really WANT to clear the Browsing & Download History, the Cookies and the Active Logins. And I don't think that should be necessary, as it used to work without clearing all that. But it no longer does. Shame.
Follow-up: Clearing EVERYTHING there did the trick. But I lost things in the process that I didn't want to lose. Oh well...

The about cache thing involves entering those two words in the location bar with the colon (two dots : ) for something different to prove such entries work try about:config or about:home
