When I open a web page from Dreamweaver to test it in Firefox (F12), it opens up an extra little window about 225 px wide by 70 px high in the upper left corner of the screen. this window can't be closed or re-sized and only goes away if you close that particular tab that was opened by Dreamweaver. It's does not crash or inhibit the browsers performance but is majorly annoying.

Great to hear you fixed it. If you think it's a bug, you can report it on https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/ that's the bug tracker for Mozilla's products and services. It doesn't matter if it's not a bug, it will be closed. ;)

Possible to post a snapshot about what you're seeing please?

Thanks, Oxylatium. I'm running xampp for my localhost. My OS is Win7 pro. I'm using Adobe CS5 suite's Dreamweaver. I noticed this morning that I couldn't reproduce the extra little window without a tab already open - I don't know if that has been the case always or just a quark this morning. I also noticed that if I use the "Restart Button 0.1.5" to restart back into my session, the little extra window goes away. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the snapshot. It's probably an issue an add-on in your FF profile. Can you create a new fresh profile (Windows+R > firefox.exe -P) and use it to open your webpage from Dreamweaver?

Thank you for you suggestion to try it in a new profile. I don't think it was an extension or plugin. When I restarted using a new profile, the problem little window did go away. What I discovered was that the "Options>tabs>show tab previews in the windows taskbar" option was not checked in the new profile. In my regular profile, the "show tab.." option is check to show the previews and it is causing the extra little window to show up. I unchecked the option in my regular profile so all is well now. How would I log this as a bug?

Also it might be a problem in combination with using Xampp as my local host and having the option checked. The Win 7 preview would show a preview with the firefox icon and the preview launched from dreamweaver with the Xampp icon - this would be accompanied with the little annoying window.
