I've cleared all cache and cookies, scanned the computer, re-installed FireFox...nothing works. Again every other website work fine, but it says "Unable to Connect" when I try to access any https site, or site I need to login to....like gmail or Facebook

Hello 'gain,

are you using some shared internet connection ? There may be an administrator behind it restricting on purpose access to some websites.

If not, I would advise downloading some antivirus and scanning your computer with it.

Did you notice any kind of slow-down, unwanted alerts within windows itself ?

Let me know,

Hello,

I guess this is sudden, so did you install any 3rd party plugins/software on your computer ? Download managers which scan for links, and antivirus/firewall monitoring your connection could be the reason you can't access to these specific pages.

Have a nice day,
