After I update to 8.0, Firefox tells me I still need to update to 8.0!

I opened my browser a week ago and it told me that I was not up to date. So I downloaded 8.0 and installed it. When I open firefox the next time, I get the same message saying I need to upgrade to 8.0. I check the version on my browser and see it is 8.0. Why does it continue to ask me to upgrade to something that I have already upgraded to? Any ideas? Thanks for your help.
