The sync option in the perferences is not there? my version of firefox is 3.6.21 it should it not be there?
When i open the firefox preferences there is no sync option listed and the version of firefox is 3.6.21 and it should be there? When I download software update is show I'm OK??? any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks, John Ruccione

Firefox Sync wasn't a standard part of the Firefox 3.6 version, it was new to Firefox 4.0. You need to install an extension to be able to use Sync in Firefox 3.6.

Hi, I have 3.6.17 (OSX) and also don't have a sync tab in my preferences panel. I tried adding the extension but it says Firefox Sync 1.8 can't be installed because it is not compatible with Firefox 3.6.17. I had Firefox check for updates, and just to be sure I also checked your downlaods page, and both say there are no new Firefox updates available.
Can I get this functionality? It'd be a lot easier than manually adding everything on my desktop.
