When I went to the welcome to Firefox screen the search window had Google beside it. I am not terribly savy to all these things, but I was trying to get away from Google.....
Do I have to uninstall something to not have Google doing my search?

Mozilla and Google have a partnership for the primary search engine of Firefox. If you don't like it, then change your homepage. In my opinion, I'd much rather trust Google with my information than Bing or Yahoo.
