My master password had been working perfectly. Suddenly, it stopped working. It might have coincided with installation of Win7 SP1. I've reset the password (though this will create a lot of work) and it still does not work. Loading Firefox ver 5 didn't help either.

Does that also happen if you open the Password Manager?

  • Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"

The issue was resolved by turning off private browsing.
