Every time I run firefox (always from the command line; I don't run any GUI like Gnome or KDE), Firefox opens a window called "about:privatebrowsing" in addition to the window I asked for. How can I eliminate this window so that it never comes up without recompiling the whole program?

What is the value of the pref browser.privatebrowsing.dont_prompt_on_enter on the about:config page?

You can open about: pages via the location bar like you open a website.
