versions before ver.5 worked fine. 5 failed to function totally!!!!!!!!
I was doing fine with ersion 4.? up to 4 pm when I went off line. At 4:45 firefox was updated to version 5. From that point on I could NEVER get on line with firefox. I didn't change anything just went to version 5. I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall an earlier version, STILL NOTHING. So I guess I must use IE (i hate the d--- thing) please help me get my version 4 back, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Robert

Hello, If you really wish to downgrade to Firefox 4.0, ensure that you have uninstalled Firefox 5.0 and any other version of Firefox you may have. A download of 4.0 can be found here.
edit: fixed link as there is no need for random unofficial download sites like oldapps.

No problem.
The main reason why you cannot connect online with Firefox after a Firefox update is because your Firewall program is blocking the new firefox.exe yet may still be allowing the old .exe version.
