How do I get real time spell check with firefox for my gmail accoutn?
Google says that I shld use my browser spell check when composign emails with gmail. How do I do this with firefox

You can see which dictionary is selected if you right-click in a text area and open the Languages submenu.
You can open the "Add Dictionaries" link to install a dictionary if you do not have one.
Make sure that [X] "Check Spelling" in the right-click context menu has a tick.
You can enable or disable spell checking globally:
- Tools > Options > Advanced : General: Browsing: "Check my spelling as I type"

Thx Corel, but this didn't really answer my question as 'checl spelling as I type' is checked, but does not work in gmail.
Does anyone else know how to get 'spell check' to check as you type in gmail?
Both the Firefox spell checker and the Gmail spell check via the "Check Spelling" button on the compose page work for me. The To:" field has the spell check disabled in Firefox (spellcheck="false").
Yes if I click on spell check in gmail it works, but does not automatically highlight misspelt words. I'm used of having misspelt words underlined as I type or 'spell check' before sending emails & find this has been most helpful int he past, but not available on gmail
