When I check use System Settings for my proxy information Firefox does not read the system settings correctly. At least not the same system settings that IE reads.

I have the IE system proxy settings set in the registry (HKEY_USERS->USER HIVE OF ACTIVE USER->SOFTWARE->MICROSOFT->WINDOWS->CURRENTVERSION->INTERNET SETTINGS)

IE works great and all of these settings for me are set through policy for the corporation, I am trying to setup Firefox to read those settings the same way so Configuration would be easy. Is this possible or does Firefox's "Use System Settings" read from somewhere else?

You can find the connection settings in Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy"

See "Firefox connection settings":

Yea, I understand how to set the proxy settings through the GUI, I am looking a little more in depth talking about GPO and Registry settings
