The asus netbook is linux. We bought it used a few months ago and she can't load a lot of website pages, play games, videos etc since we don't have the latest version of firefox. We were able to get the flash player updated and were hoping that this would solve some of the problem but it didn't. Can someone please help with this?

The version of Xandros Linux (from early 2007) that Asus was using on the eeePC doesn't have the GTK package needed to run Firefox 3+ versions, you need to update it.

An alternative method is to install a more modern operating system that based on the most widely used version of Linux. One that comes with Firefox 3.6.

EasyPeasy runs much better on my EeePC 900 than Xandros ever did.

Thank you soooooo much for your help with this. I am in the midst of downloading easypeasy to a memory stick right now as there wasn't enough room to save it to the netbook. Sorry to be so ignorant but will there be an exe file that I will run once I save it to the memory stick?

Thanks again. This is the first hopeful insight we have had in weeks.
