When I open a new tab from a link, firefox jumps me to a completely different open tab, not the one I started with and not the new tab I opened.

This did not use to happen on previous versions of Firefox. I always use to stay on the current tab and that is what I prefer. Any way to fix this?

This does not happen when I only have 1 tab open, but it does when I have 2 or more already open, which I virtually always do

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?

Don't select anything right now, just use "Continue in SafeMode."

If not, see this:

Three things...

It does happen in safe mode

But it does not happen on all sites. It does not happen from most sites.

Of the sites I use regularly, it seems to regularly occur when opening new tabs from Facebook pages.
