Every time I right click, click on file/edit/(etc), to go a page that opens a message box, click the URL box to see the previous entries I've put in, and other similar things, firefox outright freezes. I need to force quit the application.

I'm currently running Mozilla Firefox 3.6.7 under RHEL5 (2.6.18-194.8.1). Previous versions of Firefox were working fine.

I have run the application in safe mode (everything checked), deleted my .mozilla, reinstalled Firefox, reinstalled GTK libraries, and searched the internet for hours and the closest one I could find to my problem was http://support.mozilla.com/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?comments_... with no answer.

Any help or direction would be appreciated.

Similar, or same, problem occurred to me, when i updated from Firefox 6 to version 7, on right click or Firefox/addons button press the gui freeze for a couple of seconds, like 4-5 secs, then the content appear. Occurring even on Firefox 10a1 (downloaded from ftp.mozilla.org) started with new profile.

Firefox on Linux @64 bit.
