I updated Firefox, this morning, and now every time I try to log in to facebook... the page comes up blank. Facebook works on Internet Explorer but I do not like using that. Can you please help? I tried uninstalling/installing again, fixing firewalls, etc. None of that is helping.

URL of affected sites

http://www.facebook.com

Same problem here. Seems like the Firefox can only connect to the facebook page through https. Add the "s" on the address bar to any page in facebook that is reluctant to open, such as user profiles, pictures, etc.

It's not a fix but it might work until someone comes up with a real solution.

Perhaps there is an option where you can tell firefox to use https automatically whenever in the facebook domain?

That "fix" doesn't work for me - same result even with HTTPS (Secure HTTP)

Odd that one of the most popular sites on the whole internet can't be accessed with the new update. You would think they would've checked something like this prior to the update.

How could the FF team not check the compability with facebook prior to launch this new version. How could they be so stupid?

With http change to https works ;) thanks. Also someone proposed to use Boost for facebook https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3120/ but i;m not sute how to use it - auto change from http to https not work, you need to do it manualy (like push on your profile, link would change, but you see blank page, so simply edit link, add s near http and enter - so you can reach your profile or other fb page). The ONLY problem with HTTPS - you won;t see you online friends list and chat.

probably best to just go back to previous version!!!!!!!!!

HTTPS fix does not work for me, it was happening with the version BEFORE the latest as well (i updated assuming that there was somethign that they had fixed in the new version to make it work) so its possible facebook changed somethign for firefox users and broke it.

Facebook main page will load, but no profiles (including my own)

I havbe also tried a new profile and nothing, works fine on IE7 so its not connection related.

ATM i'm using 3.5 FF (got here http://filehippo.com/download_firefox/ ) - with HTTPS works perfect - can reach my profile (just need every time after push edit link and add s)

I think i spy the problem, basically facebook have screwed up or firefox is being odd with security (moneys on facebook).

When it doesn't work i get this error in the error console -

Error: Permission denied for (document.domain has not been set) to get property Window.AsyncRequest from (document.domain=).

Not sure if it should be treating facebook.com without the www as the same as with (guessing not). Anyone else got this in their javascript error consoles?

Well usefully when i posted the above post it has removed the urls, basically the "document domain =" in the bottom was equal to the facebook URL without the www bit (and the url i was connected to included the www, it still started with http etc etc),

No, i don;t have java problems. Atm using 3.5 FF, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3120/ this, also edited my option, so now fb is always with https. It makes it a little bit slower, but that's better than nothing.

Since I upgraded to the newest Firefox, I have had serious problems with answering time at the network. I have been with a technician from my net-deliverer for hours now, measuring times with clean operating system, all virus and firewall programs closed. I have a 100 Mbits cable, there is nothing in this world that should go so slow as it does today.

We did find out that Firefox have an answering delay time for 115 ms. That is really bad. Explorer have 9 ms.

I want a solution for this problem. All information is of value. I also want the staff at Firefox to again post the code to have smaller bits in the transfer of data. To speed up the process. Kindly. Please. Help.
