I have never heard anything like this happening suddenly in a browsing session in Firefox for Android.

However, please appreciate that we do not make Firefox available for the Amazon Kindle Fire platform. Did your Kindle Fire receive any updates recently?

Yes, received update 19dec23. Fire OS 7.3.2.9 Fire HD 8+(10th)


I'm a retired senior research engineer (software) from Ford Motor Company. Started programming in 1969 at Michigan State, never seen anything like this. Wrote BIOS for CPM systems in 70s. Not well versed on Android, but is there a audit log for apps installs and removals? I'm interested in what Amazon is doing.
