Hey there! It's totally understandable that updates can sometimes change things up a bit. To refresh the screen in Firefox on your Mac, just hit the "Command" key along with the "R" key at the same time. That should do the trick and give your page a fresh start. If you're still having trouble finding the refresh option, you can also look for a circular arrow icon usually located next to the address bar.

The combined Reload/Stop toolbar button is removable. If it was removed from the toolbar, you should be able to add it back using the Customize panel. This article will get you in there: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars.
