Click tools>moretroubleshootinginformation, then scroll to 'profiles', then click 'about:profiles' . That is just to let you confirm the location of your profile. Now, with TB NOT RUNNING, copy that profile to the external drive and you will then have a full backup of your accounts, addressbook and messages.

Sounds good. Your profile is probably at c:\users\yourID\appdata\roaming\thunderbird\profiles (where 'yourID' will be unique to your PC), but my earlier instructions will help you confirm. Be sure when copying it that Thunderbird is not running; otherwise, you could lose some files. All of this can be done from Windows' File Explorer. When done, you can right-click on the folder in Thunderbird to see properties and then right-click on your copied folder for properties to confirm the number of files and folders.

UPDATE: If you ONLY want the messages themselves, here is more info: - for POP mail, the important folder within the profile is named Mail. - for IMAP mail, the important folder is Imapmail. IF your mail is IMAP, there is another step. you would need to click File>Offine>Workoffline and sync/download the entire set of messages BEFORE copying the backup.

Read the above while viewing in File Explorer and it becomes more evident.

Thanks so much for the Reply and I Google this Situation and I was Thinking if a Paid Software may be a Suitable Solution to Simplify this for me?

So if you know of a Software Program that Helps Please Let Me Know

more options

Okay, here is an easy solution if backing up is primary. Thunderbird 102 has an option Tools>Export that will create a 100% backup in zip format of everything. That gives you one file that can be easily copied anywhere. To view, you would need to unzip, but for now that will ensure a full backup.

Thanks/how do I download this 102/where is link to Download 102 ?

more options

Never mind. Since you don't have it, it would possibly cause you more problems to set it up. Stick with prior suggestion on copying. Some people have had trouble installing 102. If you're on a recent release, it goes easier, but I cannot recommend it to you as any problems may endanger your messages.
