T'Bird Doesn't Respond to "Get all messages" But Works on Individual Accounts

Hello: I was forced by Microsoft to reinstall Windows 10 and when I did, suddenly, T'Bird does not respond to either the "Get All New Messages" Button or the "File | Get New Messages For | All Accounts". If instead, I click on: "File | Get New Messages For | Current Account", it works fine! My current T'Bird Version is 78.1.0 (64-bit) but I presume that's the version I was using before (I always update when T'Bird asks me to). I am using Windows 10, version 2004, x64. This is very strange behavior that I have never seen before - I use the button (actually it's the top choice in a drop-down list) all the time. I would appreciate any help you can give me. I see there is an extension "Get All Mail Button for TB78++" which seems to imply that version 78 stopped this working but I would be very, very surprised if I was still using version 68 (that's the last version I have downloaded prior to version 78.
