I need to change or disable some default keyboard shortcuts, specifically: alt + left arrow and alt + right arrow. As I use both OS X and Windows 10, editing text while in Firefox on Windows can be ... "extremely frustrating".

Compounding this is that different sites seem to have different text editing shortcuts, and the fact that I'm just never going to use alt + arrow keys to traverse page history (I mean who does?!?).
