I’m a regular Firefox user on my PC&iOS&Android devices. Today I had a problem which I had before but I did not have time to write/report this.

I’m having problems downloading only on “Google Drive”

I could not download any files today in an urgent situation but you will be surprised when I tell you how did I download the file that I need? Even I was using IDM addon to catch downloads on Firefox still I could not download but problem was Google’s itself. I successfully downloaded the file that I need by using “Chrome” Chrome works perfect when you use it with Google’s own products (MyActivity, AccountsGoogle, Drive, YouTube etc.). The thing I want to say is Google is forcing users to use Chrome. Why did I fail while downloding on Drive while using Firefox? A question to Google. Thanks.

From looking at the tags, I cannot tell what operating system you are using, what version of Firefox, and could you provide screenshot of any error messages?

I logged into my Google Drive and tried to download a file and I saw was some info in bottom left corner of the browser when I click download, but I could not find the file and there was no indication from the browser that that anything was downloaded. Interesting...  ;-))

As you can see from the screenshots, Firefox indicates the download when I used my OneDrive and the 2nd screenshot shows nothing was downloaded from Google drive. I guess this is why I rarely use Google drive. ;-)

3rd party cookies may be your issue. I was able to get the site to work allowing all cookies.

Thank you so much for your time. I fixed it by allowing all cookies. Privacy concerns. :)

I like control and block all 3rd party cookies and only allowed the google cookie needed to get the site to work. You can google privacy concerns about allowing all cookies. ;-))

I was using "Strict mode" at the time I write this. Now I set it to just "standart"

Privacy and protection comes with little problems. It's not unexpected.

One day I will switch to Tails. lol.
