A malware product using the tab heading "Search Marquis" took control of my Firefox application and even after installing and running MalwareBytes I cant seem to find a way to eliminate"Search Marquis" from the opening tab for Firefox. I dont mind deleting and reinstalling Firefox but hesitant to do so not knowing if i will create more problems in doing so. Guidance/Help?

MacBook Pro (Mid 2010) - Running High Sierra Version 10.13.6 Firefox version 83.0 (64-Bit)

I appreciate any help or guidance you can give me. Sincerely - Mike

First, make sure your system is clean. You may have ad/mal-ware. Further information can be found in this article; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware?cache=no

Run most or all of the listed free to use malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
