Firefox keeps adding buildin search engines after restart
I have an issue where Firefox is adding the standard search engines (and making google default search engine) after browser restart. I hope someone can help me, cause this is highly annoying.

Hey FredMcD, I did that all the time, but I found out it was a program to delete cookies and it deleted the search engines preferences as well :)

This seems not a problem in Firefox Nightly and I am on MacOS.

Do you have a problem as far as the default engine selected?
Type about:preferences#search<enter> in the address bar.
You can select any search engine to be your default from here.
You can also remove any engine from here.

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
