Thunderbird works then crashes and its blank
I did install thunderbird on a win10 64bit laptop new hard drive.I kept the thunderbird file from roaming on previous hard drive thunderbird was used.I did copy and pasted it on the new hard drive with win10. Thunderbird seemed to work fine, but then when the computer switched off and on again, when clicked on it all I see is a blank thunderbird which doesnt react on any actions from the toolbar or anything else I press. I did uninstall, deleted all files and reinstall it, left the laptop on and thunderbird did crash. When switched it on again was blank, didnt show any emails, didnt respond at all. Any help on this please would be really appreciated.
PS now it doesnt switch on again at all

Sounds like the laptop has other (hardware) issues. I'd get it repaired first.
I have used dell diagnostic test and didnt find any issues
Which antivirus program are you using? Is Thunderbird the only program that is misbehaving on your laptop?

bitdefender. It was missbehaving before installing the antivirus.i havent noticed any other program missbehaving.i believe has to do with bringing my data from old profile to the new hard drive.
If the old drive has bad sectors, or is experiencing read errors, then it's possible the migrated profile is incomplete or corrupt. Create a new Thunderbird profile, set it as the default profile, then optionally setup one account on it. Restart Thunderbird and the PC as many times as it takes to confirm and get convinced that it doesn't misbehave. If Thunderbird runs well every time and between reboots with the new profile, then you will have confirmed that the old profile is partially damaged and not reliable. The best course of action then would be to recreate the old profile from scratch. Hopefully the mbox files in the old profile are intact, you'll be able to retrieve the messages they contain and import them into the new profile.

any more steps please on regarding your last two sentences
Please confirm first that Tbird behaves normally with a fresh profile.

I read some articles , the problem is the ImportExportTools extension is not compatible anymore with 68.9 version of thunderbird.
It's now called ImportExportTools NG https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools-ng/

I got it installed, then looked on options to import but couldnt see it anywhere
Try right clicking on any existing folder, the first entry on the popup menu is your starting point and by starting with a folder you are selecting the destination for the import, "Local Folders" sub folder are the best destination for an import.
mbox files in the old profile do not exist. I did install the addon and did figure where is the import button . It seems that when I click import mbox it doesnt give any more options on it.
Mbox files do not have file extensions, they only have a file name. You will find them inside the ImapMail and Mail subfolders in the old profile folder. You will also find msf files that match each mbox file. If you're having difficulties locating the mbox files, then look for the msf files. Where you find them is where the mbox files will also be. If no mbox files exist, and only msf files exist, then there is nothing to import from.
I did install the old hard drive in the laptop, used mozbackup to create a profile cvs file from thunderbird and saved it on an external hard drive. Then I did install the new ssd in the laptop, made a new thunderbird installation and used mozbackup to restore thunderbird. After this ive choosen the profile on which it restored it to and it worked perfectly, until the moment I shut down the program and when I started it again I get this message with a blank thunderbird which doesnt work at all. Any help please?
