I uninstalled Firefox and deleted the folder from a computer I was going to give away, then I reinstalled Firefox. Now none of my computers has any saved logins or website links.

Find and back up old profile data

First, make sure that you still have the key3.db file in your affected profile and save a backup copy, as follows:

  1. From the Help menu, select Troubleshooting Information. The Troubleshooting Information tab will open.
  2. Under the Application Basics section next to Profile Folder, click Show in Finder. A window will open that contains your profile folder.
  3. Find the key3.db file and save a backup copy to an easy to find location, such as the desktop.

Thanks for your quick reply. This wasn't what I was looking for, but I found how to fix it on another site. I needed to restore with one of the many backup files Firefox makes (see photo).
