Question is pretty much self explanatory. Right clicked on a local folder intending to rename it and clicked Delete by accident (they're next to each other). Is that folder gone forever or is there a way to recover it? This is a very costly loss.

You should find it under the Deleted folder, unless you also emptied the Deleted local folder.

There is no "deleted" folder, unless you meant the Trash folder. In that case, it's too late because it's emptied automatically at close. So I'll take that as a "no". Sigh. This is going to take months to recover from.

Under the Local Folders "accout", there is a Deleted folder. Since the folder you deleted was also a local folder, you should see it under the local Deleted folder. Sounds like the local Deleted folder is named "Trash" on your system for some reason. If this local Deleted/Trash folder is emptied on exit, then I don't know of any other way you could restore its contents. Maybe data recovery software could find it. Either way, you can see the importance of backing up your profile/emails. There are way too many similar cases that could have been averted if a backup was in place.
