What is your version of TB (Help/About TB) and what is the authentication type on the account? Is it POP or IMAP?

Is the correct password stored in Tools/Options/Security/Passwords/Saved passwords? Delete any obsolete passwords.

One of the advantages of OAuth2 authentication is it doesn't depend on whether less-secure apps are allowed for the account or if two-step verification is on the account, which requires an app password when authentication is 'normal password'.
