Account settings won't let me change the .rc file in a news account. This is a new bug.
Added a news account, and on the server settings page there's a setting for the .rc file. It won't accept a new file - it says it will, but it doesn't. This is definitely a new bug - I've been making that setting for years.

You have been refered to the bug tracker to file a bug. There is no one in this forum that regularly uses any NNTP newsgroups other than those on news.mozilla.org and I have personally NEVER needed to install an RC file with a news account. This is generated on first log into the news server, not installed with the account.
So I would expect you to need to explain why you are trying to manually add something that is routinely generated and updated by any good news server as groups are added and removed.
