Hello, thanks for reading my "problem" If Mozilla starts it picks up immediately mail from the server and keep on doing that if new mail arrives although i tell it not to do by removing the check marks. What else can i do? I do this (want this) because i use mailwasher to see all the mail on the server of my provider first to see if they are not harmful. Why is Mozilla still getting my mail. Please see the pic i sent and apologize for my bad language.

The setting "Allow immediate server notifications when new messages arrive" only starts working after restarting Thunderbird. Does this still happen after you have restarted Thunderbird?

Hello Onno, I have this problem now for a week and every day i shut don and start the pc. That's why i post this. Guess what happen now? Mozilla finally got it :) After a lot restarts it now does what i want it to do. Thanks for your reply
