Dear Sir Or Madam, I am using the client Thunderbird on regular basis. I need a plugin to set up on my client which correct authomatically the text while I write the subject matter of the emails. Please note that I write emails both on Italian and English. Hence, the plug-in should have to be able to correct the text on both languages. Does it exist a plug-in which gives to me this fuction ? If so, would you mind telling me where I can find it and how to set up it. Waiting for your prompt feedback. Thanks a lot. Regards. Luca.

None of the TB extensions work unless TB is running. You may be able to set up scheduled sending on your mail provider's webmail site. This is an option with Gmail.

There's currently no autocorrect function in TB. There was an add-on that worked in earlier versions, but not in TB 60.

The best you can do is probably to install English and Italian spellcheck dictionaries, and perhaps install the dictionary selector add-on.

I have downloaded the spellcheck dictionaries but I wan't able to set up the xpi file's extension. Would you mind telling me how I can go trough ? Thanks a lot and Best Regards. Luca.

Do you mean how to install the dictionary from a downloaded xpi file? Open Tools/Add-ons/Dictionaries and click the gear icon next to the search box, Install Add-on from file, select the xpi file.

I notice you're posting from an XP computer, so you will have to use a dictionary that is compatible with the last TB release for XP, v. 52. Some dictionaries that run in TB 60 are 'webext' format, so you will need to install an earlier version, e.g. for Italian, use v. 5.0.0.

Depending on which version of English you use, e.g. US, UK etc., choose a dictionary version that's compatible with your version of TB.

I noticed that some recipients when get my emails, the footer of my email is in a different format, with alterated dimensions and the footer's text is wholly underlined. Can you let me know what it depends on ? Thanks and Best Regards.

If you're referring to the signature, it depends on whether it's in plain text or html format. If it's html, the easiest way is to make it with the TB message composer and save it as an html file. See this article for instructions:

Do you know any exstention that I can add on Thunderbird which allow to plan the email sending at a specific timetable and day even when the laptop is off and the client doesn't run ? I have tried to set up the exstention Send Later but it seems that it works only when the laptop is on, so if the laptop is off, the email doesn't leave at the day and timetable I have scheduled. Please let me know if you can draw on my attention any good exstention which can suitbale for me. Thanks a lot. Regards.
