I have repeatedly gone to Firefox search settings, where it always says that Google is my default browser, yet whenever I search anything, it automatically shows Yahoo results. Anyone else had this problem, and does anyone know how to fix it??

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; (<Control> [Mac=<Command>] <Shift> A)

In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Remove “ Yahoo “ Anything.

Also remove SafeSearch, SearchAssist Incognito, FileConverter Addon, SearchLock, DiscreteSearch, WebSearch, Findwide Search Engine

Now do the same in the computer’s Programs Folder.

Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. Mac: Open the Applications folder. Linux: Check your user manual.

Neither the Firefox web browser nor the company Mozilla is reverting your Search Engine to Yahoo.

Something else is doing this, like say a Extension you have installed or worst case some form of malware.

Firefox from mozilla.org does not even come with Yahoo as a search engine option anymore since Fx 57 and later due in part with the legal dispute with Yahoo
