It instructed me to reload firefox, or something to that effect. It told me I would NOT lose my bookmarks. It lied, I lost all my bookmarks!!!!

Now I am trying to recover them, but I am a 76 year old 'non geek' who has trouble understanding all this new tech language, and following this often confusing road map to correct these problems. Sometimes I as myself, 'why don't you guys leave well-enough alone' ?

Please help me get my computer operating correctly again so I can go back to my multiple forum activities,...and get my model railroad and sailboat design activities done

When I looked on my desktop I did NOT find that folder. I finally used the search function and found it.

But then I could not interpret it. i clicked on the 'bookmarks' reference, and if I remember properly I could not understand the info it gave me,.....perhaps I need to be more knowledgeable about this stuff,...but I would hope it would be presented in an understandable form to those of us that are not computer geeks.??

I decided to just wait and see what came from this forum, but in the meantime I decided to simply 'restart' my computer. That act cleared things up, and I got my favorites/bookmarks back up

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox? Look inside. Look for the folder with the latest creation date.

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.

If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.
