I hope this'll be fixed in Firefox 65.0 Stable or something. I'm tired of having to click the sync icon in the hamburger menu when I add new permissions to an add-on that needs them because of an update to the add-on. I always approve new permissions for my numerous Firefox add-ons because I check for updates to both my Inspiron and my Firefox add-ons every morning and evening. To me, it's very important everything be up to date on a daily basis for many reasons, especially to make it harder for hackers to take advantage of security flaws in old programs to break into my PC.
