I have had my email set up with Thunderbird for several years. I tried to get into my email and it requested my password, when I put it in it stated it was incorrect. I tried other passwords that I thought it could be, and nothing. How can i go into the account and reset my password? Or do I I have to redo the whole thing with my email/password? Will I lose all my information from the "old" email to the new one?

Your "account" is with your email provider. The password is for your email account with that provider. You change the email password with your provider. Go to your providers webmail site and look for a link to reset or change your password. Make sure your can log into you email at the webmail site with your username and password. If that same username and password fails when using Thunderbird you have a different problem causing the password error.
