Some random symbols are appearing over icons. I have been troubleshooting since 3 months, none of them are helping me out. Its so annoying to use firefox without fonts and symbols correctly exposed. I am using the latest version firefox. I have been updating everytime. But, the problem still exists. Please someone help me with this.

I just refreshed my FireFox. Its working fine and everything got perfectly right. Cheers...

HI, You do have some video driver error, most of it from being disabled as a preference.

Figure out why you have turned off most of your video card.

Try : SAFE MODE

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:

  • all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
  • default theme is used (no persona)
  • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
  • default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
  • Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
  • hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Performance > Uncheck to view)
  • plugins are not affected
  • preferences are not affected
