Confirm I've got this right: You are saying that in version 60 clicking on Thunderbird 'Tools' > 'Add-ons', nothing opens in any new tab in Thunderbird, but it does auto open up your 'Firefox' browser in a tab showing the 'about:addons' page ?

If no , not 'about:addons' page then please state the url. please post image of what page you see in browser.

thanks for helping to debug this.

Everything you say sounds like you are doing it in the Firefox browser and not in Thunderbird. All instructions must be done in Thunderbird not Firefox.

I think the version of thunderbird im using is new and buggy

I dont have the Addons manager in the addons group.. I dont see that on the right on the side of the screen.. And that menu doesnt escape me its just not there.. on the left of the mozilla search there is nothing with the gear icon..

Did you click on the word Extensions? It is in blue in the picture I posted and until you do you will not see the extensions gear icon.

OK that looks ok at this point. When you click on 'Addons' (not 'Addons Options) as listed in that drop down, it should open a new tab called 'Addons Manager' Please post image of what happens when you click on 'Addons'.

it just takes me to the web to down load addons..

Please look at the image below.

A new tab will open called 'Add-ons Manager' Select 'Extensions in the far left column, it has an icon that looks like a jigsaw puzzle piece.

This should get you on the right path.

Yes.. when i sent you the pic I realized in 60 it must have changed the layout so I figured it.. Thanks I tried the extension with the included modification to false and wallah it works.. dam man.. Thanks i appreciate it.. I have another question I need answered maybe you can help.. I opened another thread on it.. But I think its a bug with 60.. and just have to wait for a fix.. when you open tb everything fine.. but after u minimize and maximize again the hiding of the task bar doesnt pop back up but if you minimize tb and then maximize it again task bar hides but then u minimize again and then again again task bar doesnt come back up.. so it seems that minimizing tb messes up the task bar popping up.. but somehow minimizing tb again and then maximizing fixes temporarily.. I think that at time Thunderbird stays in front of the taskbar unlike it supposed be in back of the task bar..
