Firefox crashes
Hi,
Today, my antivirus (Comodo) announced I had Firefox-related malwares. After that, every tab I tried to open crashed. I decided to restart the computer, but then Firefox stopped working altogether. Every time I try, the Mozilla Crash Reporter shows up, and when I click Restart Firefox, the reporter just appears again. In theory, the malwares are gone, and I read that I could simply uninstall Firefox and install it again, but I didn't want to lose my bookmarks.
What can I do? The Crash ID is: bp-9cebc7c7-597c-4576-b05f-8acec1180503
Thank you.

Hi, sorry to hear that. You can check here and copy out your Profile :
You can delete that folder after you have uninstalled Firefox : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 59.0.3 with a Full Version Installer
In the future please do always :

Comodo possibly took something out that Firefox needed. I am sure that this will not mater after a clean install. MOZ_CRASH Reason MOZ_RELEASE_ASSERT(globalObj) Crash Reason EXCEPTION_BREAKPOINT
Note fyi : Windows Spring Update out April 30th so back up stuff you want to save to another drive. https://www.windowscentral.com/microsoft-announces-windows-10-april-2018-update If wanting to update pick the Media Creation Tool and Click Update or wait. Update all programs 1st.

You can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem. Never work with original files.
