What is the Best Firefox Fork?

I have been a loyal and dedicated Firefox user as long as I can remember.

What always made Firefox the best for me was the same thing that made Windows beat other rivals and the same thing that made the iPhone a success, THE APPS.

Now it seems that Firefox is moving in a direction I cannot follow, V58 or whatever they are calling it.

So with each new release I am finding Firefox more and more unstable, runaway memory leaks that take just 5 minutes to use all memory on my system and then crash Firefox and worse than anything my trusted firefox extensions are stoppong working.

Well I can't take anymore, Either I freeze Firefox and keep all my extensions in a relatively stable environment or I use a fork of Firefox.

I would rather stay with Firefox I must prepare for the alternative because it seems to me that the powers that be seem determined to wreck it with this directional change.

So can anyone advise which forks are worth considering?

Do any of them support the existing extension platform?

I am sorry this is not considered an appropriate question, if it is deleted I will ask it elsewhere on other forums, I have considered even writing a blog about the demise of Firefox.

It makes me really sad to see it ruined in this way.

I have the same questions and would like to know of people's experience with alternative forks.

I don't know what you mean by 'forks.'

I am using Firefox v54 and have no plans to go any higher. Many add-ons I use and love are not compatible with the newer versions.

I have an add-on that backs up my user profile (all of it, settings, add-ons . . .) It will not work with the new Firefox.
